Wouldn't it just be choice to get Bill "No Fan of Chocolate" Donohue's rationale for the current Wingnut bugaboo regarding Rep. Pelosi's headscarf?
Why did the Catholic Church require women to wear head scarves until only recently?
As recently as 1983.
Of course, the Protestants used to require it as well.
God forbid that a representative of our government (or, I suppose, a spouse of one) would show offense to any religion that engaged in the demeaning practice of requiring women to cover their hair!
When in Rome, do as the Americans would: Raise your voice, Yell slowly and consider the listener stupid for not understanding.
