Sweet Robotic Painting

posted Tuesday, 8 May 2007

...mmmm....robotic painting....

Paint, Robot, Paint!

Alberto Gaitain is showing a new installation at Curator's Office Gallery, in Washington, DC, which is titled "Remembrancer".  Who among us does not love robotic painting?

From the Gallery's site:

Media artist Alberto Gaitán is internationally known for his sophisticated and challenging sound work. In Curator's Office, Gaitán creates an installation entitled Remembrancer. The exhibition runs from April 14 - May 26, 2007. An opening reception for the artist is scheduled for Saturday, April 14 from 6:30 - 8 pm in conjunction with the joint ColorField.remix receptions at the 1515 14th Street Arts Building.

The exhibit has received some good press here and here in the Washington Post and Washington Post Express.  There are also additional pix posted on the site.  However, if you are looking for these links after June 1 or so, they have probably changed and you'll need to click on the "Past" link on the Main Site.

Here's Day 6:

Excellent!
